A reply usually lands inside the hour — free, no sales pressure, and no quiet add-ons later. Whatever you send stays with Admiral Van Lines here in New York and goes nowhere past our office.

No borough splits as sharply as this one, and Admiral Van Lines works both halves. Climb up into Riverdale and you meet doorman co-ops perched along the ridge, each building wanting its insurance paperwork on file and the freight car booked to a set window. Drop back toward the Concourse and the work flips around: a tall walk-up, five or six landings stacked over a curb fighting traffic for space. Across that gap, from the Riverdale ridge through Kingsbridge, then Fordham and Belmont, then deep into the southern end, Vinny Russo’s people cover the territory, arriving over the Deegan or the Cross Bronx aboard Admiral’s rigs with Admiral’s salaried W-2 movers.

What Vinny’s Admiral crew loads across this borough

Long-distance leg loaded

A ridge-top co-op and a Concourse stair building demand separate playbooks, so the layout gets read closely before anyone aims a truck north.

  • Riverdale doorman co-ops — ridge buildings expecting an insurance certificate cut in management’s name plus a held service elevator, both locked in days early.
  • Concourse-area walk-ups — tall stair buildings through Fordham, Belmont, and the southern blocks, staffed heavy so the flights never stretch your clock.
  • Kingsbridge and Pelham Bay homes — detached and two-family houses where we thread the rig onto a cramped block and keep the doorway run open.
  • Fordham student turnover — lighter dorm and renter hauls beside the university, paired with a leaner, quicker team.

What an Admiral move here runs, settled up front

Trucks we own, movers on Admiral payroll

  • When you call, Vinny or someone at the Admiral desk answers in person, not a hired phone room
  • The figure on your contract is exactly what changes hands at the curb, no day-of surcharges and no padded line items.
  • One Admiral Van Lines crew packs, loads and unloads every single job
  • The load carries $1M in coverage, and your co-op or doorman office gets its COI that same day
  • Should anything come up, Vinny looks over the claim himself — nothing leaves the building

× Broker chain

  • Whatever you type elsewhere gets routed into a phone room and resold to whoever bids next.
  • Delivery-day invoice quietly padded with surprise “add-ons”
  • Every time, an unfamiliar truck pulls up with a crew you have never met
  • Building-insurance paperwork you end up chasing down yourself
  • Damage claims dodged with a “different contractor” excuse

Stuck between two apartments? Storage kept climate-controlled costs roughly $140 to $320 a month, scaled to what you stash. On the move, two movers bill $160 hourly, three go $220, four reach $290, yet most loads instead drop into a band: studios sit at $500 to $800, one-bedrooms at $800 to $1,350, two-bedrooms at $1,350 to $2,300, three-bedrooms at $2,300 to $3,800. Whichever form your quote takes, Vinny writes the number out at the very start, and nothing about it shifts once the day begins.

A six-floor Concourse carry won’t touch your Admiral invoice

Since the quote is signed and locked, a punishing Fordham stair haul, a Riverdale board insisting on its certificate, and a stalled Cross Bronx crawl all become ours to absorb, never yours. Everything you own travels insured to a million dollars of cargo value, with a claim window open nine months past delivery. Vinny moves the start time up so the rig claims its curb space while the avenue is still loose.

Pulling up stakes for a place in a different state? Admiral handles the long run itself, our equipment, our people, which means the hand wheeling your cartons toward a Fordham stairwell also sets them down inside the new place. Nothing gets auctioned to a broker or dumped on a faraway agent. Reach Vinny at (888) 711-4778.

Vinny and Mike were seriously the dream team. They worked so hard, handled everything with care, and made our move feel completely seamless. What really stood out was their energy—they were laughing, positive, and just so full of life the entire time. It truly changed the whole moving experience for us and made it so much more enjoyable. We are so grateful for their help and couldn’t recommend them more!

Worth knowing

What The Bronx households ask Admiral before booking

Our Riverdale co-op up on the ridge insists on an insurance certificate before move-in. Will Admiral Van Lines take care of that?
Yes. Those ridge-top doorman buildings request one routinely, and drawing it up is on us as your mover. We issue the certificate exactly the way management spells out, send it straight to the board's office days early, and reserve the service car for the slot the building permits. Admiral underwrites that policy directly, since our own people staff the job and the fleet belongs to us, which leaves the paperwork wrapped up long before the rig ever reaches your block.
We're up on a sixth-floor Grand Concourse walk-up, no elevator anywhere. Is that climb something Admiral can take on?
Easily. Tall Concourse and Fordham stair buildings are routine territory for Vinny's people. We pile on enough hands that six floors keep flowing instead of stalling, pad each landing turn, and take the bulky pieces apart right where the stairs pinch. A one-bed in that sort of building tends to land between $800 and $1,350 on one fixed price, with the haul down every floor living inside it instead of popping up as an extra once we wrap.
Does Admiral Van Lines genuinely carry our move in-house, or get a different carrier to run it?
We carry it ourselves, beginning to end. Admiral holds New York authority and insurance, USDOT authority with MC authority, and Vincent Russo, who came up in Brooklyn, launched the firm back in 2008. That 'Van Lines' tag signals no agent web whatsoever. Every load, from Riverdale clear into the southern blocks, rides Admiral equipment crewed by salaried W-2 staff, with nothing brokered, sold off, or relayed elsewhere. Whoever surveys your rooms beside the Deegan rides in alongside the movers once your day arrives.
